We normally don't like lefty-lefty matchups for batters, but as always, there are exceptions to every rule. Corey Seager is one such exception.

Despite being left-handed, Seager has shown little to indicate he's at any disadvantage against his fellow southpaws. We must always be wary of smaller sample sizes when it comes to splits, but Seager has consistently proven himself versus left-handed pitchers across all three of his major league seasons. Against lefties in his career, he has a 42.1% hard-hit rate to go with a respectable 20.0% strikeout rate and 9.6% walk rate. And the results have been superb, with a .372 wOBA and .197 ISO.

On a day when you can pay up for studs like Carlos Correa and Manny Machado at shortstop, it's quite likely Seager gets less attention despite facing one of the weaker arms on the slate in left-hander Ty Blach. Blach had the lowest strikeout rate among qualified starters last year (10.6%), along with a miserable 5.36 SIERA. Don't be afraid to include Seager in a Los Angeles Dodgers stack today.
