Evan Gattis, C, Houston Astros

FanDuel Price: $2,500

One of the possible ways we can attack the new combined catcher/first baseman lineup spot on FanDuel is quite simple -- actually roster a catcher.

Naturally, outside of Gary Sanchez, chances are you'll be happy ignoring the fantasy-deprived position on most nights, and rightfully so. But with the Houston Astros sporting an enticing slate-high 5.31 implied team total against Cole Hamels, you're probably going to want exposure to their lineup.

The trouble is they should also be immensely popular. Enter Evan Gattis. He'll bat low in the order, which deflates his value a bit, but it also means we shouldn't expect his ownership to be too high. Gattis has shown plenty of pop over the years, and against lefties he has a career 36.1% hard-hit rate and 38.4% fly-ball rate to support a .226 ISO.

If the Astros light up Hamels, there will be plenty of fantasy goodness to go around, and Gattis could just as well surpass the point totals of cheap power bats like Lucas Duda and Logan Morrison at lower ownership.
