For the second straight start, Alex Wood gets the fade call, as he just hasn't been the same pitcher with his declining velocity.

He has a 4.68 SIERA and 14.9% strikeout rate over his last four starts, and his swinging-strike rate has decreased each time, dropping to just 4.6% in his last outing versus the Atlanta Braves. His low pitch counts also continues to limit his upside -- he's thrown 100 pitches just once this year and under 90 in three of his last five.

Even against the Arizona Diamondbacks, whose active roster has a 24.3% strikeout rate against southpaws, there are too many concerns to roll with Wood at his current form.
