Martin Perez, Texas Rangers

Starts: May 29th vs. Tampa Bay Rays, June 4th vs. Houston Astros

ESPN ownership: 6 percent

Streamers who have the Coors jitters over Anderson can look to another young lefty to provide sneaky production amid this hellish streamer landscape.

Martin Perez's microscopic ownership hasn't budged much despite a strong recent stretch of work, with the Texas Rangers southpaw booking a 3.20 ERA and even tidier 2.78 fielded independent pitching (FIP) mark over nearly 20 innings of work across his last three starts.

The standard-league cold shoulder is understandable given he's averaging mid-three walks per nine on the season, though his recent strong stretch has found Perez chiseling that mark below two.

The 26-year-old is in a nice spot to keep rolling against a Rays team whose recent hot hitting can't mask their continued futility against southpaws, with Tampa Bay trailing only to the aforementioned Mariners for league-worst honors in OPS versus lefties over the past two weeks.

Perez rounds out the two-start week by toeing the rubber against a scuffling Astros offense that has paced well below average in team OPS of late. Lefties have proven particularly vexing for Houston, a team which finds themselves rubbing elbows with some of the league's worst offenses in terms of weighted production against southpaws.
