Fantasy Baseball: 4 Pitchers To Stream for Week 9

In a week light on streamer intrigue, rolling out promising Rockies lefty Tyler Anderson for a start at Coors is the type of risk some desperate owners might have to take.

If you thought last week was tough for streaming pitchers, this week seems downright apocalyptic. There are some familiar names to pick through, sure, with frequent streamer targets like Charlie Morton and Jordan Montgomery lining up for two-start weeks. But with Morton looking down the barrel of a thriving Minnesota Twins offense and Montgomery set for away dates against the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles, both of whom have been murdering lefties of late, it's hard to recommend either with any sort of zeal.

The most interesting plug-and-play starters this week are a bit less familiar. These names are probably only appealing in deeper leagues, though they could certainly prove useful to standard-league owners in dire pitching straits who face aggressive competition on their waiver wires.

Indeed, the term "widely available starter" has rarely proven more true than it does this week, but even though most of these guys have ownership numbers in the single digits, their skills profiles and Week 9 matchups make them notable highlights in an otherwise depressing streamer landscape.
