4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 4/24/17

If you've been keeping up with this series, you know I called out Jose Bautista twice last week. Trust me, I don't have anything against him!

Bautista finally showed something on Friday, slugging his first bomb of the season and giving my call to fade him the middle finger. Still, despite his depressed price point, this isn't the spot to roll Bautista back out -- even if you believe in him.

The Toronto Blue Jays are playing in pitcher-friendly Angel Stadium, which already knocks them down a peg (3.79 implied team total), and they're taking on Jesse Chavez, who has shown solid strikeout ability against righties in his career. Last season, he had a 23.1% strikeout rate against them out of the bullpen, and has a 22.2% career rate.

Bautista may have had the strong Friday showing, but he didn't do much over the weekend, and still has a woeful 32.1% strikeout rate.

It's worth noting that Chavez had a 34.4% hard-hit rate against right-handers last year. However, between the park downgrade and his whiffs, it's not enough to warrant using Bautista tonight.
