James Ward-Prowse, Midfielder, Southampton

Salary: $9,000

Ward-Prowse is tied with three other players as the fourth-highest midfielder on the slate, and he has averaged 19.13 FanDuel points this season. He has scored all four of his goals this season over his last seven starts, including a tap-in rebound in his previous match, and he has failed to reach his season-long average in three of his previous four matches.

The Red Devils are a large favorite over the Saints, and the match has a 59.3% chance of totaling more than 2.5 goals. Unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League matches, United has conceded more than one goal in 4 of their 13 matches at Old Trafford this season, but do not allow a large number of offensive statistics on their home pitch. They have allowed the ninth-fewest crosses (15.31), eighth-fewest chances created (7.77) and fourth-fewest shots (9.92) per-match at Old Trafford this season.

Ward-Prowse has proven to offer a seemingly safe floor, but his upside may be limited against a United squad that is playing about as well as anyone in the Premier League right now. At the same price point as Ward-Prowse, Joao Moutinho ($9,000) should offer the same floor with a slightly higher ceiling, and Paul Pogba ($10,000) is just $1,000 more costly than Ward-Prowse.
