Danny Ings, Froward, Southampton

Salary: $10,500

Ings suffered a minor injury prior to the international break and is a game-time decision to play against Fulham this weekend. If he doesn't, his teammate, Manolo Gabbiadini ($8,000) could be considered in this spot.

Prior to his injury, Ings was on a decent run of form. He has a goal and an assist across his previous three matches, averaging 19 FanDuel points per match. At a salary of $10,500, he will be an afterthought compared to the talent around him, which includes Harry Kane ($12,000), Roberto Firmino ($12,000), and Anthony Martial ($10,000). While he can't hold a candle to those strikers on talent alone, his match up makes up for it.

It's no secret that Fulham has been awful this season, but against Southampton, their attacking options might draw higher ownership due to their lower salaries. Aleksander Mitrovic for $8,500 seems more appealing than Ings for $2,000 more. However, Southampton has actually been decent against non-elite opposition on the road this season, allowing an average of just one goal per match. Fulham at home, on the other hand, have allowed an average of two goals per match to non-elite opponents. Southampton's strikers have the better matchup despite being on the road.

With five elite sides in action, the score needed to win a large field tournament will likely be on the higher end of the scale this weekend. Ing's upside is still limited by Southampton's overall lack of supporting talent, so he is a better option for lineups that opt to include a core of higher owned players in good spots.
