Browns coach Pettine disappointed by Duke Johnson's absence

Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine has called rookie Duke Johnson's absence from training camp "disappointing." Johnson has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and is expected to miss another week of practice.

What It Means:

Johnson suffered the injury on Saturday and has missed the past three practices. He is currently pegged as the second running back on the Browns depth chart behind Isaiah Crowell.

The Browns ranked 31st in our schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points per play metric last season. Johnson will likely be a tricky fantasy player during his rookie season with a weak rushing offense and a limited amount of touches if he stays stuck in the committee in Cleveland. He does have PPR upside, however. We project Johnson to finish the year with 163 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, 23 receptions, and 186 receiving yards.
