2012 NFL Playoffs Predictor: Week 12

Even with Charlie Batch under center, can the Pittsburgh Steelers hold on for the final playoff spot?

Week 11 was defined by the plethora of backup quarterbacks, including Colin Kaepernick, Jason Campbell, Nick Foles, Chad Henne and Ryan Lindley. The vast majority showed why they are backup QBs, but Kaepernick played so well that he has created a QB controversy in San Francisco -- though I'd expect the Niners to stick with Alex Smith, who has performed well. Heading into Week 12, bye weeks are over and all that's left is some delicious Thanksgiving football.

As Nate Silver did for the 2012 election, we do for the 2012 NFL season. Using the mythical powers of math, we let you know first who will be in and who will be out of this year's postseason.

We put together a projection of who will be in this year's playoffs. Be sure to come back each week as we update the projection with the latest results. And once the playoffs begin, we'll reset the bracket and tell you who has the best chance to bring home the Lombardi trophy.
