FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 7
If you've never played daily fantasy football on FanDuel before, it's time to start. Unlike traditional leagues, you're able to select the players you want on that specific day only, giving you a different squad to root for each and every week.
Here at numberFire we offer great tools for premium members. The analysis below is meant to help you understand why some of these players are top picks in our tools and projections because we don't want you going into the weekend completely blind. We want to help you. Keep in mind, however, that things can change drastically if an injury is announced, so make sure you're double checking the tools and projections as close as possible to kickoff.
Let's break down the main slate on FanDuel for this week.
Tom Brady (FanDuel Price: $9,200) - Brady and Matt Ryan ($8,700) are both in a great spot this week against one another. That's not groundbreaking, but you don't always have to get cute in DFS. The Atlanta Falcons rank 24th against the pass by our adjusted metrics, and the New England Patriots are 28th. The game has a 55-point over/under, making it the only game above 47.5 on the main slate. Even at his price, Brady is the best point-per-dollar play on the board, according to our algorithms.
Drew Brees ($8,300) - Brees on the road is usually a situation to avoid, but the Green Bay Packers lost Aaron Rodgers and likely will play from behind, allowing Brees and the New Orleans Saints to have a positive game script. Green Bay is 20th against the pass by our metrics, and Brees is still averaging 18-plus FanDuel points with two low-level games baked in.
Marcus Mariota ($8,200) - Mariota and the Tennessee Titans are also on the road against the Cleveland Browns, but Cleveland ranks 31st against the pass by our metrics and 31st against fantasy passers, too. Mariota threw for more than 300 yards in his return from injury, and the matchup is about as great as you could ask.
Tyrod Taylor ($7,000) - Spending up at quarterback is probably the way to go this week with so many high-upside spots, but if you're spending down, consider Taylor against a generous Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass defense, which ranks 27th by our metrics against the pass and 30th against fantasy quarterbacks. Getting Jordan Matthews back at practice should go a long way for Taylor at just $7,000.
