7. Cincinnati Bengals, 4.23 nERD

The Bengals have become a reliable regular-season NFL team with five straight nERD scores above zero, but their playoff runs continue to end short with those seasons ending in wild card losses.

Cincinnati boasted a top-10 defense to pair with the sixth-ranked offense in 2015, and their core players are back for 2016. They missed out on a first-round receiver, instead grabbing cornerback William Jackson to boost their 15th-ranked pass defense from last year, and nabbed receiver Tyler Boyd in the second to pair with receiving threats A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert and newcomer Brandon LaFell.

This team has the makings to challenge anyone in the regular season, but their real test will come in the playoffs.
