Eli Manning, as per usual, has been tough to trust this season, but figures to be in a good spot to excel this weekend while offering some cap relief as well.

First, to address the elephant in the room, yes, Chip Kelly has been fired. But I highly doubt that his firing, one week before the season ends, will be able to galvanize his former teams' pass defense, which, after Week 7, ranked third in the league but now ranks 15th in the league, per our numbers.

With an over/under of 51 points (the second-highest of the week), and an implied point total of 27.25, Manning should have plenty of opportunities to put up points on the Eagles, whose offense ranks fastest in the league in pace-per-offensive play. The team who ranks second? The Giants.

So, regardless of how efficient Manning is --his 0.16 Passing NEP per drop back ranks 11th among starting quarterback-- there should be plenty of opportunities for him to put points on the board given the plus matchup against the Eagles' soft secondary, and the chances afforded to the Giants' given the Eagles' fast paced -- yet ineffective -- offense. Given these factors, coupled with Odell Beckham being back in the saddle coming off of suspension and a final home game against their division rivals, Manning should make for a great play in Week 17.
