8 FanDuel Studs to Target in Week 16

Look, at this point fading David Johnson is dangerous. Johnson made this column last week as a severely underpriced stud, and the assumption at the time was that it'd be the last week you'd be able to roster him for under $7,000. And while that is true, if Johnson had played earlier in the day before FanDuel came out with their pricing on Sunday, Johnson would be much more expensive than the current $7,300 bargain he represents.

Johnson's performance on the ground in Week 15 was electric. As our own JJ Zachariason pointed out, Johnson's 13.24 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) garnered in that single game exceeded the season-long Rushing NEP of all running backs but three. That's just nuts. And in Week 16, getting to square off against the Packers' 27th-ranked rushing defense, per our numbers, I can't justify fading him in cash and will have a hard time doing so in tournaments, even while knowing regression will be coming from the 42.9 FanDuel points he put up on the Eagles on Sunday.

With the Cardinals sitting as 4.5-point home favorites, there's a good chance they'll be nursing the clock against the Packers by feeding Johnson the rock late in the game. As such, roster Johnson with every bit of confidence in Week 16. His relatively low price still doesn't justify his talent or the workhorse role he occupies in the high-octane Cardinals offense.
