Derek Carr is having the type of season that we normally attributed to Andy Dalton before this year. Carr has bulldozed through piece-of-cake matchups with the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tennessee Titans for excellent fantasy days, yet posted clunkers against the likes of the Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs, all tough pass defenses.

Carr ranks ninth on the season in Passing NEP and Passing NEP per play, but this week profiles as a week to pass on the Raiders passing offense. The Broncos, bitten by the injury bug after a historic period of dominance early in the year, have been the fourth-best pass defense in the NFL over their last four games. However, with the exception of safeties T.J. Ward and David Bruton as well as linebacker Danny Trevathan, all key players on defense should be in uniform on Sunday.
