Lance Dunbar was a straight boss in the check-down game on Sunday, garnering 100 yards on 10 catches. Dunbar's only real work comes in the form of the passing game, so it's not advisable to add him off of the waiver wire in anything but full PPR leagues. But it is worth noting how good Dunbar actually is in the passing game.

In 2014, Dunbar garnered a total Reception NEP of 18.93 on 22 targets, registering a 0.86 Reception NEP per target. This is actually absurdly good. Why? Because the average Reception NEP per target among wide receivers in 2014 was 0.66. Essentially, Dunbar was 30% more efficient on his targets through the air than was the average NFL wide receiver, which is nuts because wide receivers typically get their targets delivered further down the field.

This season, Dunbar has caught 21 of his 23 targets, and with Brandon Weeden at the helm in Tony Romo’s stead, it'd make sense if the Cowboys wanted to utilize Dunbar's passing-game prowess more in an attempt to operate the offense more conservatively instead of chucking the football downfield recklessly.

Dunbar is explosive when given the opportunity, and his opportunity arrow seems to be pointed up.
