Seattle Seahawks Rushing Offense

Recommending a rushing offense against the Green Bay Packers is partly playing with fire. Because the Packers are pretty good at that offense thing, game flow could eradicate the ground game early. This one is a bit riskier for that reason, but the Packers have shown that they have troubles stopping the run when teams commit to it. Time to engage Beast Mode.

In 2014, the Packers finished 22nd in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. They backed up the legitimacy of that last week by allowing Matt Forte to mess around and tally 141 rushing yards while posting the second best Rushing NEP in the league in Week 1 at 8.66. It's worth mentioning that the Bears weren't trailing by multiple possessions until 1:55 left in the fourth, but it still illustrates that this rushing defense can be exploited.

As for the Seahawks, nobody came close to their rushing offense in 2014. They had 0.18 Adjusted Rushing NEP per play, while the second-place Kansas City Chiefs had 0.06. A lot of that was due to Russell Wilson having one of the most efficient rushing seasons for a quarterback in NFL history. But don't let that be a snub of Marshawn Lynch. He led the league in Rushing NEP at 27.34 among running backs with at least 100 carries. He was also third in Rushing NEP per carry in that same group. This backfield duo is stupid good.

Lynch is the third most expensive running back on FanDuel this week. That's a salary I have no problem paying in cash games. I -- personally -- try to avoid doing so in tournaments, but that's not a hard policy that everybody must follow. If you do pay up for backs in tourneys, then Lynch needs to be on your radar because this is a matchup that could lead to a huge output.
