Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle Seahawks

A lot of people are going to think this is going to be a Seahawks' blowout of the 49ers. If it is, I doubt it's on the back on Marshawn Lynch (pun very fully intended). The man known as "Beast Mode" hasn't been doing a very good impression of himself lately, seemingly having used all of his touchdown-producing power in Week 10 against the New York Giants, when he scored four in one game. Since then, though, Lynch has only reached the end zone once, on a receiving touchdown in Week 14.

What gives? Lynch has been dealing with a back injury for a while now, and while he's still getting an immense amount of touches, those touches have not been nearly as effective as usual. He's gained 12 or fewer points three times in the past month, and while that seems silly to say as a critique of the running back position, we're used to more than that from Lynch.

Lynch and the Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers, who rank eighth in the league in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP. It's not going to be an easy game for Lynch, but it's likely to not be a Lynch-esque game for him either. Plug him in as an RB2, just don't expect stud numbers on Sunday.
