DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football: Week 14 Punt Plays

I wrote about Latavius Murray ($3,800) in this space last week, but he wasn’t able to clear the NFL’s required concussion protocol. You won’t have to worry about that this week, as Murray is cleared and ready to play against the San Francisco 49ers.

While the 49ers obviously present a tough matchup (they give up the eighth-least amount of fantasy points to running backs), Vegas expects this game to be one of the lowest-scoring of the week. (The over/under is 40.5.) This means that, even though touchdowns will be at a premium, the game could be relatively close most of the way and that the Raiders hopefully won’t have to abandon the running game too early.

As mentioned in last week’s write-up, Murray showed some seriously awesome explosiveness against the Kansas City Chiefs, scoring 2 touchdowns on four touches, including a huge 90-yard scamper. It’s not like the Chiefs defense is a pushover in the running game either—they give up the 11th least amount of fantasy points to running backs.

Assuming Murray isn't affected by the concussion, it should be safe to assume that he’ll get a decent chance to show off that explosiveness once again.
