Markus Wheaton, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

Markus Wheaton ($3,900) finally found the end zone last week against the Indianapolis Colts, breaking a seven game dry-spell and giving hope to DFS players everywhere. Wheaton quite obviously plays second fiddle to target-hog Antonio Brown (Brown has 60 targets compared to Wheaton’s 29), but Wheaton could find himself in an advantageous matchup this Sunday.

The Ravens give up the fourth-most point-per-reception fantasy points to wide receivers and are banged up on the back end with top corner Jimmy Smith sidelined for a few weeks. While it’s true that Smith would have most likely matched up against Brown, his injury means the Baltimore secondary now lacks continuity.

Not to mention, other wideout Martavis Bryant is quickly emerging as a legitimate deep threat, so defenses will have to focus more of their attention on the explosive rookie.

This could leave Wheaton as the primary beneficiary. Wheaton has had at least four receptions in six of eight games, which is huge for a point-per-reception site. If he can find the end zone again on Sunday, he could be a very good value play, especially considering the Steelers offense is really starting to roll.
