Another team with their playoff hopes on the line this Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings will be going all out in Week 17.

While offensive woes have doomed the Vikes to an 8-6-1 record through 15 games, the defense has remained one of the best in the NFL. They rank third in yards allowed (308.2) and seventh in points against (21.1). The Minnesota defense also sits third overall in our schedule-adjusted ranks.

Over their last seven games, they have allowed more than 19 offensive points just one time and are surrendering an average of 14.9 points per game. During the same seven-game stretch, they have racked up 27 sacks, nearly 4 per game. One of those games came against Sunday’s opponent, the Chicago Bears.

In Week 11, the Vikings held the Bears to 268 total yards while forcing 3 turnovers. That was against a full-strength Bears’ offense, too. With the 3 seed wrapped up and needing Los Angeles Rams to lose at home to the San Francisco 49ers to get the 2 seed, Chicago may rest key offensive players if this one get lopsided in Minnesota's favor, enhancing an already juicy game script for Minnesota.
