Saquon Barkley Scores 9.6 Fantasy Points

Fantasy players going into their semi-final weekend with Saquon Barkley on their roster must have been feeling confident about their chances of success, given the fantastic form shown by the New York Giants rookie running back prior to Week 15. Their confidence was not rewarded, however.

Barkley was held to just 31 yards rushing on his 14 carries against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, on his way to a dismal 9.6 fantasy points. Interestingly, he had 14 carries last week too, but he amassed 170 yards on those totes against Washington. Barkley added a mere 25 receiving yards in Week 15, giving him 56 yards from scrimmage for the day. This is a new career-low, beating his 94 yards against the Atlanta Falcons back in Week 7.

Barkley and the Giants will look to bounce back in Week 16, but things may not get a lot easier against the Indianapolis Colts. They were able to restrict Ezekiel Elliott to 17.8 fantasy points on Sunday, a tally bolstered by a receiving line of 7 receptions for 41 yards. Receiving yards are not something we can count on Barkley delivering at this time, it would seem.
