Jalen Richard, RB, Oakland Raiders

Already a mainstay of this column before Marshawn Lynch landed on the IR and before Doug Martin got dinged up, Jalen Richard continues to offer low-ceiling but high-floor fantasy appeal.

Richard hasn't seen fewer than 40% of the Oakland Raiders' offensive snaps in any game since Week 4, and from Weeks 5 to 13 he has played a total of 44% -- the highest mark for any of the team's backs.

His average of 8.6 opportunities (rush attempts plus targets) per game this season don't seem very impressive on the surface, but that's before we adjust for how much of that is coming in the passing game.

Per our own Jim Sannes, targets are worth about twice as much as carries for running backs' fantasy value, and that's just in 0.5 point-per-reception scoring. So, adjusting for that, his 5.6 targets and 3.0 carries per game are worth about as much as 14.2 carries would be worth, and more if you're in a full-PPR league. He's also yet to see fewer than four targets in a game since Week 2.

Richard has at least 10.9 PPR points in six of his last eight games, and while he hasn't topped 14.4 points in that time, his floor is excellent. The Oakland Raiders are 11-point underdogs this week, meaning there should be plenty of passing game work to go around, and we should once again see Richard rack up significant target numbers.
