Adrian Peterson, RB, Washington Redskins

FanDuel Price: $6,300

DraftKings Price: $5,500

Sticking with the regression theme, Adrian Peterson's situation has a lot more to do with being game-flow dependent than banking on unsustainable efficiency. RotoWorld's Nick Mensio mentioned this week that the Redskins have not experienced a single lead change through their first nine games of the season. Not surprisingly, Peterson has smashed in their six wins (104.8 rushing yard average), and been completely eliminated in their defeats (just 14.3 yards averaged).

Peterson has long been relegated to being just a GPP-option given his volatility, but there is enough concern this week to just avoid him altogether. The Houston Texans have had two weeks to prepare for this matchup after catching their bye in Week 10, and the Texans have allowed the sixth-fewest rushing yards per game. The Washington offensive line continues to be decimated by injury, so there is real concern that Peterson is going to be swallowed up each time he totes the rock.

An anecdotal argument could also be made that Peterson's pristine bill of health is due for regression. We have seen in years' past "older" players like Larry Fitzgerald post very sub-par splits in the second-half of the season due to the wear-and-tear their bodies have endured each week. Given Peterson's lack of health the last few seasons, it's been quite amazing he has managed to stay upright this long. I'm not saying he's due to get injured this week, but it's certainly within the realm of expectation that AP begins to slow as we get into the latter parts of the schedule.

That thought alone wouldn't necessarily be enough to stay off of Peterson, but combining it with his tough matchup and disappearance in losses is enough to make him worth fading this week.
