Taylor Gabriel, WR, Chicago Bears

Yahoo Ownership: 40%

There was a point in this year when Taylor Gabriel looked like one of top waiver wire gems. He went undrafted in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues, but he started earning serious volume on the overhauled Chicago Bears' offense early on. He had multiple games with over 100 receiving yards and even had a game with 10 targets. From Weeks 3 through 6, he was looking like a legitimate fantasy starter.

In more recent weeks, he's been cooling off, and that's in no small part due to rookie teammate Anthony Miller. Miller has worked his way into a near-every-down role in the Bears' offense and is playing like he deserves it, too. Per AirYards.com, Miller has posted a solid 0.53 Weighted Opportunity Rating (WOPR) over the past three weeks, a top-30 rank in the league among wide receivers. His sudden rise in WOPR is one of the bigger shifts this season across the league and is illustrated by his position as the WR11 in PPR leagues during that time.

Which leads us to Week 10, in which both Miller and the recently-recovered Allen Robinson each had blowup games of more than receiving 100 yards while Gabriel managed only 52. With Robinson back in the lineup and Miller breaking out, Gabriel is unlikely to recapture the same volume and opportunity that made him one of the top waiver wire adds in the early parts of the season.

He could still have the occasional big game, which is what he was known for during his time with the Atlanta Falcons, but don't let that trick you into keeping him rostered. There are better options out there -- including Miller, who is owned in just 14% of leagues.
