It's hard to drop a player who started the year off hot. Carlos Hyde certainly fit that bill. Over the first six weeks of the season, he had enormous volume for a running back. Even though that volume came on a struggling offense, Hyde was still able to capitalize for fantasy football, scoring 5 times through Week 6 and averaging 20 touches per game.

But the Cleveland Browns opted to go with Nick Chubb as their lead back and dealt Hyde back in October. In his first game for the Jacksonville Jaguars, he carried the ball six times, and that was sans Leonard Fournette. Fournette returned from injury in Week 10, and Hyde touched it just three times.

His 3 carries paled in comparison to Fournette's 24 carries, and with T.J. Yeldon already seeing good work in the passing game, Hyde looks to be on the outside looking in barring an injury to Fournette. The Jags' usage of Fournette in Week 10 demonstrated that they are fully confident in his health and illuminated the sad reality of Hyde's current situation: he's the third-string running back.

At this point, you can very safely drop Hyde in every redraft league. The only reason to justify hanging onto a running back with that small of an opportunity share would be to keep him as a handcuff to Fournette, but odds are if you already have both players on your team, you could probably use the space for one of this week's top waiver adds instead of a backup running back.
