Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

FanDuel Price: $8,500

DraftKings Price: $7,900

I like my takes the same way I like my coffee: Bold.

It doesn't seem optimal to use this space to inform you how bad of a play the entire Buffalo Bills' offense is with Nathan Peterman at the helm. You know that already. Instead, let's examine why fading Julio Jones should be a priority for your tournament lineups this week (he's beyond unplayable in cash games at this point).

Julio has as many touchdowns as you do in 2018. On FanDuel, especially, finding the end zone is incentivized due to the half-point per reception scoring system, as opposed to the full-PPR format on DraftKings. With Jones dominating between the 20's and failing to sniff pay dirt, he hasn't burned you yet this year if you have faded him since Week 1.

This week, Jones and the Falcons travel to the nations' capital to face a suddenly stout Redskins' defense that has dominated against the run, but has limited big passing plays as well. Last week against the Giants, Odell Beckham was opposed more often than not by Josh Norman, who wasn't as stationary as he normally is at the cornerback position. If defensive coordinator Greg Manusky moved Norman around against Beckham, there's a good chance he deploys a similar strategy against Jones. While Norman isn't near the talent he once was, he did shut down Beckham when he shadowed, as he was charged with zero catches in his coverage.

With upper-tier running backs dominating the fantasy landscape, coupled with some cheap plays this week at the wide receiver position (hello Kenny Golladay and Courtland Sutton!), Jones is unnecessary this week in all formats. Spend your money wisely, and that means avoid Julio in Week 9.
