No Raiders Receivers Stepped Up

The Oakland Raiders traded their top receiver, Amari Cooper, to the Dallas Cowboys last week, leaving a pretty big question mark at their receiving corps.

But no wideouts filled Cooper's shoes in their first game since the trade. Jared Cook led the pass catchers in targets with five (Jalen Richard had more as the pass-catching running back) and Jordy Nelson, Seth Roberts and Brandon LaFell each drew four. Meanwhile, Martavis Bryant played just seven snaps.

Derek Carr actually had one of his best games of the season, completing just over 70% of his passes for 239 yards and 3 touchdowns. He couldn't keep up with the Colts' offense, but it seems like Carr didn't miss Cooper all that much.

If the trade did anything for Raiders players in fantasy, it solidified Cook's standing as a borderline top-12 tight end. If you want to take a gamble on another player, Nelson is probably the best bet. He played just one fewer snap than LaFell did, has been with the team all year and at least has a history of fantasy relevance.
