Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Yahoo! Ownership: 18%

The Seattle Seahawks came into the season with a goal to run the ball. Through six games, they have not wavered. They own a nearly even split between rushing (180) and passing (184) plays this season. Their 49.5% percent rush rate leads the NFL. While Chris Carson remains the lead back, the 'Hawks have been using two backs to shoulder the rushing attack. Mike Davis is the other one.

In Week 5, with Carson active, Davis saw double-digit carries (12) in a close game with the Los Angeles Rams. Week 6 was a bust as the game script (a blowout of the Oakland Raiders) led to rookie Rashaad Penny getting extra work. Davis still saw over a third of the snaps in that one, notching seven touches. Against a generous Detroit Lions' defense this week, Davis should be back with a firm hold of the number two role as Penny is nursing another finger injury.

The Lions weakness is the 'Hawks strength as Detroit has allowed over 139 rushing yards per game, the third-most in the NFL this season. All those yards have let opposing backs rack up the fourth-most fantasy points per game against them. With the game expected to be close -- Lions are 3-point home favorites -- expect a substantial dose of Davis alongside Carson, providing relief for those with bye week RB troubles.
