Devontae Booker, RB, Denver Broncos

After starting the season as the expected starter, Devontae Booker has seen his role reduced this season, culminating in just six snaps (10% of offensive plays) in Week 7. With Royce Freeman battling an ankle injury and looking doubtful to play on Sunday, Booker enters back in the fantasy discussion in a favorable matchup against the Chiefs.

We already talked about how the KC passing defense has not been a fantasy target this season. Well, it applies to the entire crew. The Chiefs have struggled to reign in rushing attacks too, allowing the seventh-most rushing yards per game (101.3) to running backs. That total would be more but if not for teams abandoning the run with the explosive Chiefs offense piling up the points. Kansas City has given up the second most receiving yards (511) to running backs as well.

The game between the Broncos and Chiefs is poised to be a shootout with a hefty over/under of 56.5 points. Booker is likely serving as the change of pace/receiving back to Phillip Lindsay, and potentially seeing double-digit touches in a high-scoring affair, makes him worth a play in Week 8.
