Red-Zone Market Shares

1. Could Marshawn Lynch Be Underrated?

On Sunday, Marshawn Lynch saw his stellar season take a step back with a 9-carry workload, which resulted in 31 yards and no touchdowns. It was his worst output since Week 1.

But Lynch is the perfect buy-low candidate because of his red-zone work. Despite Sunday’s effort, Lynch is seeing 65 percent of the Oakland Raiders' red-zone rushing attempts, which has netted him 3 touchdowns. The 65 percent clip puts him tied for 4th in the NFL in red-zone rushing market share.

The previous three games, Lynch had 19, 22 and 25 touches, respectively, dominating the Oakland backfield, although Lynch does have some game-script risk with Jalen Richard serving as Oakland's pass-game specialist.

His age, the Raiders' lousy record, and his Week 5 stat line make him a great target, especially in standard leagues.

2. Juju Smith-Schuster Is a Red-Zone Hog

It’s hard to say but easy to prove. Juju Smith-Schuster is averaging 46.9 percent of the Steelers’ red-zone targets, while teammate Antonio Brown is averaging 28.1 percent.

Smith-Schuster’s 15 red-zone targets to Brown's 9 make JuJu an attractive target in trades as bye weeks have hit.

Despite the overwhelming target and red-zone share, Smith-Schuster has only 2 touchdowns to Brown’s 5. And on Sunday, Smith-Schuster saw only 4 targets total to Brown’s 13.

Brown is still elite, so really you're in a great spot if you own either of them. Smith-Schuster should cost less in trades, though, and he is being heavily favored in the red zone by Ben Roethlisberger.
