Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

DraftKings Price: $5,500

Projected Points: 20.6

Projected Value (points per $1,000): 3.75

This pick doesn't need a whole lot of explanation, but let's do it anyways. Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars take their 3-1 record and NFL-best 14 points against to the Barbecue Capital of the World on Sunday to take on the 4-0 Kansas City Chiefs.

While no team has scored more than 20 points against the vaunted Jaguars defense, it's hard to bet against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs doing so this weekend. The Chiefs have scored at least 27 points in every game this season, and their 145 total points leads the league. They have an implied total of 26.00 points this week, so if the Jaguars want to stay in this game, they'll likely have to do so by moving the ball through the air.

Enter: Blake Bortles.

Bortles enters Week 5 as the QB13 in terms of DraftKings points per game. His route there, however, has been, shall we say, Sisyphean.

After a mediocre Week 1, he reached fantasy heights in Week 2 against the New England Patriots, only to see his football performance roll back down the hill with an 8.9-point effort against the Tennessee Titans. He rebounded with a 28.52 outing against the New York Jets in Week 4.

Bortles has an opportunity to shed the myth this week by putting up a second massive performance in a row, and he'll have every opportunity to do so. Despite giving up only 8.8 DraftKings points to Case Keenum in Monday night's comeback win against the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs are still allowing the sixth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

With Leonard Fournette out on Sunday, the Jags will be without a major weapon in the rushing game. While T.J. Yeldon is no slouch, he's not rushed for more than 58 yards in a game this season. The Jaguars have thrown the ball 61.31% of the time in their past three games -- 13th-highest in the league in that span.

The opportunity is clearly there for Bortles to assert himself as one of the top fantasy plays of the week, especially in regards to value. We currently have him projected for 20.6 DraftKings points, which equates to 3.75 points per $1,000.
