Quarterback

Chalk

While he can't claim to have ever thrown for 400 yards in three straight games like Ryan Fitzpatrick has, Drew Brees can or will be able to lay claim to just about every other major passing record when all is said and done. Brees, who has never won the MVP award despite throwing for 5,000 yards four times in his career, is eighth in passing yards per attempt, fourth in passer rating (Jared Goff passed him in last night's defense-optional game), and--of course--first in completion percentage.

He doesn't just lead in completion percentage; he's on pace to annihilate his own NFL record of 72.0%, which he set just last year. Entering this week's game against the New York Giants, Brees has completed a mind-boggling 80.6% of his passes.

The Giants are ranked in the middle of the pack against opposing quarterbacks this season. They look better than they are, however, as they faced just one real test at the position. Blake Bortles and Dak Prescott each threw for fewer than 180 yards against them in Week 1 and 2, respectively, before Deshaun Watson lit them up for 385 yards and 2 scores in Week 3.

Some will be afraid to pay $8,700 for their quarterback, however. For those wanting to pay down, we can see Philip Rivers as an attractive option. He comes for $900 cheaper and faces a very beatable San Francisco 49ers defense that just allowed Matthew Stafford and Patrick Mahomes to each top 300 yards with 3 scores in back-to-back weeks.

Pivot

Eli Manning, New York Giants: $7,100 (vs New Orleans Saints)

There are two quarterbacks who immediately came to mind when looking at the schedule this week. One is Andy Dalton in a matchup against the Falcons. The other is Eli Manning, who gets a home matchup against the Saints.

Manning did not have a great start to begin the year, but people should probably cut him some slack. He opened the season against three of the better defenses in the league in the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Texans. He's been sacked 12 times already this season, which ranked fourth heading into this week's games.

Despite the tough matchups and the pressure he has faced, Eli enters this week's game with a 73.6% completion percentage -- third-best in the league.

He should have plenty of time to keep that high completion percentage going this week against a Saints defense that has only gotten to the quarterback six times this season, the fifth-worst mark in the league.

New Orleans is allowing 32.63 FanDuel points per game to opposing signal callers, which is by far the most in the NFL. The fact that the average also takes into account Tyrod Taylor's 15.44 points in Week 2 makes that stat an even more appealing one to target.

Manning has thrown for at least 350 yards in three of his past four matchups against New Orleans and has 12 passing touchdowns in those four games.

Our models have him projected for 19.2 FanDuel points this week with an upside of 34.2. If he were to hit that upper bound, he'd return a value of 4.8 points per $1,000, a number that would go a long way towards a winning lineup.
