The New Orleans Saints are hosting the visiting Cleveland Browns in Week 2. The Saints currently have the highest implied team total in Week 2 (30.00 points) and the second highest spread (-10 point favorites). If the Saints get close to that total or are able to exceed the 30 point barrier, there is a good chance that Drew Brees had a lot to do with it.

Our model has Brees projected to score 24.6 DraftKings points which is 1.9 higher than any other quarterback in Week 2. We currently have him projected to throw for 2.91 passing touchdowns which is a full 0.88 more than the second-highest projected scoring quarterback of the week, Tom Brady.

In Week 1, Brees completed 37-of-45 passing attempts and threw 439 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Those are mind-boggling numbers and his 82.2% completion rate and 9.8 yards per attempt show that he was not only efficient but he was hyper aggressive. Considering that his touchdown rate was 4.7% in 2017, it was nice to see Brees start the season off with multiple passing touchdowns.

If Brees continues to shoulder the load for the offense while Mark Ingram is inactive, we could see a similar statistical line in Week 2 and he'd be a fantastic option to anchor our lineups in both cash games and tournaments.
