Wide Receiver

Chalk

Everybody is focused on the Steelers this week in their home matchup against the 30th-ranked passing defense of the Kansas City Chiefs. That, of course, means that eyes will be on both Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

The high-flying duo combined for 14 catches, 222 yards, and a score in last week's tie against the Cleveland Browns, despite weather that was less than forgiving. There was some doubt earlier this week about who would be throwing them the ball, but Roethlisberger now looks locked into the starting spot for Sunday.

Brown finished with two touchdowns the last time the Steelers hosted the Chiefs. In last year's meeting at Arrowhead Stadium, he caught 8 passes for 155 yards and found the end zone in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

Pivot

Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings: $7,600 (at Green Bay Packers)

There are a number of other high-end options besides the Steelers' duo that people will likely flock to this week, whether it's Tyreek Hill, Michael Thomas, or even Emmanuel Sanders. Likely to be overlooked a bit is Minnesota Vikings receiver Adam Thielen. He shouldn't be.

Thielen finished Week 1's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers with 6 catches on 12 targets for 102 yards. The targets were good for 9th among all receivers to open the season, and his yardage ranked 18th.

His history against the Green Bay Packers -- this week's opponent -- is chaotic, but he has flashed his upside in a major way in their past matchups. Throwing out last year's matchup that Aaron Rodgers missed (more on that later), Thielen has a combined 25 catches on 35 targets for 340 yards and 2 touchdowns in three games against the green and gold.

That high level of volume should come as no surprise. Thielen runs a large percentage of his routes in the slot (82.1% in Week 1), and the Packers have been notoriously poor against slot receivers. In 2017, they ranked 26th in DVOA in passing and 30th on short passes.

Of course, there is still a chance that Rodgers doesn't play this week. The $180 million man injured his knee in the opener and is questionable for Week 2. If he sits, then the game could turn from one in which Thielen is relied on heavily to a game controlled by the Vikings' defense and run game. So, if you are planning on using Thielen, monitor Rodgers' status.

The upside, however, is undeniable. The top end of our projections show him with the possibility for 27.8 points in this week's game. He may not be as flashy as Brown or have the speed of Hill, but in the right matchup, Thielen is a player who can turn your lineup into a winner.
