Dion Lewis, New England Patriots

Rushing NEP per carry: 0.35

Dion Lewis attempted the ninth-most red-zone rushing attempts in the NFL last year, with his 35 attempts bringing him 142 yards and 6 touchdowns inside the 20-yard line. The yardage was the fourth-most in the league.

Of his 35 rushing attempts, 21 positively impacted his NEP, with his 60% Success Rate good for the second-most among qualified players. Among New England Patriots red zone rushers and receivers, only Rob Gronkowski had a higher Success Rate inside the scoring area (all 11 of Gronkowski’s red zone receptions were successful).

With the Patriots seemingly way back in the betting in terms of which team Lewis will be playing for in 2018 and beyond, it is clear that his new club would benefit greatly by making his red zone rushing a key part of their offensive strategy.
