Start Dion Lewis as a Favorite

In years past, projecting the New England Patriots backfield was a tedious exercise, but over the second half of this season, Dion Lewis has taken over the lead running back role. He performed well against the Jaguars minus a game-changing fumble. However, head coach Bill Belichick went back to Lewis late for the game-winning first down. Belichick's faith in Lewis has him shaping up to be a nice play for Sunday.

This season, the Pats were favored in all 16 games, so using favorite/underdog splits doesn't quite work. There were a few games where New England was favored by 4.5 points or less, though


The difference in scoring here is minuscule, but either way, Lewis has been strong. But what about the Eagles' fourth-ranked rushing defense? Shouldn't that scare us off of using him?
