7 Receptions, 51 Yards, 9 Targets, 1 Touchdown
Performance Score: 100
In a week packed with outstanding performances, it was Kansas City Chiefs rookie Kareem Hunt who edged the pack to emerge on top. One of three running backs to post a Performance Score of 100, Hunt was a force once again after slumping a bit during the middle of his rookie season.
The young back parlayed 31 touches into 206 total yards and 2 touchdowns on the day, posting an outstanding Rushing NEP of 9.41 in addition to a Reception NEP of 5.09. He was breaking tackles, ripping off chunk runs and getting into the end zone, something he had done only once in his previous 10 games.
Hunt was the engine with this Kansas City offense, leading them past the division rival Los Angeles Chargers 30-13, and all but guaranteeing the Chiefs a division title. On the season the young back now has 1,641 total yards and 9 touchdowns, cementing his status as one of the best all-purpose runners in the NFL.
