Teams Ranked 12th to 1st

For as good as the Chiefs were on Saturday, the most impressive performance of the weekend may have been that of the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams went into Seattle and took firm control of the NFC West with a 42-7 road win, the franchise’s biggest win over the Seahawks since 1976. It was also the Seahawks’ second-worst home loss in franchise history, behind only a 41-3 loss in the Kingdome in 1997.

The victory moves the Rams into the top five in the power ratings and leaves them as the only team in the league to rank in the top six in both schedule-adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency, per our metrics. Their offensive turnaround from last season is nothing short of historic.

The Rams probably will not have a first-round bye, so their Super Bowl odds stand at just 7.5%, the seventh-highest in the league. Still, since they went 4-12 last year, it is nothing short of remarkable that we are even talking about the Rams’ Super Bowl odds after Week 15.
