Tight End

Chalk

Trying to determine the chalk at tight end is proving to be a bit difficult. Rob Gronkowski is suspended and Zach Ertz is still not out of concussion protocol (but should play), meaning Travis Kelce should likely be the most popular high-end tight end.

Those not using him could well move to Jimmy Graham, who has nine touchdowns in his past eight games, even with a difficult matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the horizon. For those not wanting to spend at the position, it's likely that Stephen Anderson will prove to be the most popular punt play after breaking out for a 12-target, 79-yard, 1-score outing last week. With C.J. Fiedorowicz on the shelf, Anderson has the Texans' tight end spot locked down for the rest of the season.

Pivot

Jason Witten, $5,800 (at New York Giants)

The New York Giants have miraculously not allowed a touchdown to tight ends in the past three weeks after allowing one in each of the first nine. Despite this, they are still a not-insignificant 0.78 fantasy points per game worse than the Browns, who rank 31st against the position. Simply put, they still present the best matchup for opposing tight ends, and Jason Witten enters this week in position to take advantage.

Witten has been quiet in the second half, but the Giants are a team he routinely dominates. He showed off this skill in Week 1 when he finished with 7 catches, 59 yards, and a score. He has at least 66 yards or a score in 9 of his past 12 games against them, during which time he had three multiple touchdown performances.

Dak Prescott would be wise to not rock the boat too much and filter the ball his way. At a position with few sure things, Witten's history against this week's opponent should provide some comfort.
