The Cowboys Are Averaging 7.3 Points per Game Without Ezekiel Elliott

In the three games since Ezekiel Elliott's appeals process ended and his suspension began, the Dallas Cowboys have scored a total of two touchdowns. The defense was already struggling, but without Elliott, both the rushing and passing offense have taken a turn for the worse, with the Cowboys getting outscored by a whopping 70 points during this span.

Elliott averaged 97.9 rushing yards per contest in his eight games played. Since being forced to the sideline, there's only been one instance of a Dallas running back topping 60 rushing yards. And Dak Prescott has averaged just 166.7 passing yards in the post-suspension era, compared to 227.3 before. In fairness, two of their opponents rank inside the top-10 in Adjusted Defensive NEP per play, but the third ranks just 21st in that same category and held the Cowboys to seven points.

With a matchup against the Washington Redskins, who rank 12th in Adjusted Defensive NEP per play, the Cowboys have just the 17th-best implied total of any team in Week 13.
