Case Keenum Has a 0.24 Passing NEP per Drop Back

Starting 9 of 11 games for the 9-2 Vikings, quarterback Case Keenum has amassed a 14:5 touchdown-to-interception ratio, only throwing multiple interceptions once. And he has actually been improving recently, with at least 280 passing yards in each of his past four games and a 9:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio over that span.

That efficiency ranks him among the top quarterbacks in the league, as only five other quarterbacks with at least 25 drop backs have a better Passing NEP per drop back value than Keenum's 0.24.

If he can maintain this pace, it would be just the second season in his career with a positive Passing NEP per drop back, easily eclipsing his previous career best of 0.10 set in 2015.

Keenum is under threat of being replaced by Teddy Bridgewater, but as long as he is playing at this high level of efficiency, Minnesota would be smart to stick with him under center. In Week 13, he will be up against the Atlanta Falcons, who have allowed at least 250 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks in each of the past two games.
