Jamaal Williams, RB, Green Bay Packers

Jamaal Williams totaled 2 touchdowns, 5 receptions, and 135 scrimmage yards in Week 12, making him the second-best fantasy running back of the week.

Certainly an impressive performance, and more could be in store. As our Aidan Mcgrath explained, the Packers face a pair of poor rush defenses in the next two weeks. As such, our models rank Williams as a top-20 option for Week 13, expecting him to be in the back end of the RB2 range.

At some point, however, Ty Montgomery and maybe Aaron Jones will return to action. If they do, there's a good chance they make Williams unstartable. In the six games this year that either both of one of Jones and Montgomery has played together with Williams, Williams has averaged roughly six rushing attempts, less than one reception, and about 25 scrimmage yards.

Keep on eye on practice reports this week. If Williams looks to have the backfield to himself again, he's a candidate for your starting lineup in Week 13. If one of the other Green Bay backs returns to action, however, you might want to think again.
