Wide Receiver: Kenny Stills, Miami Dolphins
Kenny Stills, WR, Miami Dolphins
7 Receptions, 180 Yards, 8 Targets, 1 Touchdown
Performance Score: 100
Sunday's matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins confirmed two things that presumably most of us already knew: Jay Cutler is bad, and the Buccaneers pass defense is worse.
Neither of those facts served to contain wide receiver Kenny Stills, who posted a season high in receptions (7) and yards (180). That included a 61-yard touchdown late in the fourth-quarter comeback by the Dolphins, boosting Stills to a perfect 100 Performance Score. He accomplished this despite Cutler being replaced by the much more effective Matt Moore due to injury.
Stills now leads Miami in receiving yards (588) despite having 27 fewer receptions than teammate Jarvis Landry. On Sunday, he notched an astounding Reception NEP of 17.57. He was efficient and explosive, running free through a Tampa Bay secondary that has been torched all season.
Stills may continue to be a volatile receiving option in fantasy considering the ineptitude of this Dolphins passing attack, so perhaps the lesson is to start your receivers against Tampa Bay!
