The New England Patriots-Oakland Raiders matchup in Mexico City is one of the week's most interesting contests.

After a 2-2 start, the defending Super Bowl champions have won five straight contests and once again look like the team to beat in the AFC. Meanwhile, the 4-5 Raiders are desperately trying to remain in playoff contention. The Patriots' 29.50 implied point are the highest total on the slate.

Brandin Cooks, WR, New England Patriots

FanDuel Price: $7,700

Brandin Cooks is quietly having a tremendous first year in New England. The speedster's 637 receiving yards and 16.3 yards per catch both rank 10th in the league, and he has secured a 20-plus yard reception in seven of nine contests this year. The only thing holding him back in the early going was a lack of targets, but that has changed.

Indeed, Cooks has received eight or more looks in four of his last five games, punctuated by an 11-target outing against the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. Some of that has to do with Chris Hogan's ($7,000) absence, but clearly the Pats are using Cooks as more than just a deep threat.

The Raiders are allowing 25.3 FanDuel points per contest to opposing wideouts. It's a decent matchup, and Cooks represents a combination of game-breaking ability and volume. This looks like a good week to get him in your lineup.

Rex Burkhead, RB, New England Patriots

It took a little time, but Rex Burkhead has carved out a sizable role in the Patriots' backfield. While the free-agent acquisition missed four games due to a rib injury, it's clear that he's become a vital component of the offense since his return into the lineup.

Burkhead broke out with 10 carries for 36 yards Sunday night, while adding 3 receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown. Patriots' leading rusher Mike Gillislee ($5,000) was inactive (coach's decision), while James White ($5,100) only saw five total touches. He draws a Raiders defense this week that's permitting 23.0 FanDuel points per game (third-most) to opposing runners.

In spite of his new-found volume, he can still be started for RB30 cost. For such a low price in a potentially high-scoring matchup, he could return fringe RB1 value.

Others to Consider

Derek Carr's ($8,000) matchup looks better on paper than it actually is. The Pats' defense has improved considerably in recent weeks and hasn't allowed a 300-yard passing game or a multi-touchdown performance to a quarterback since Josh McCown lit them up in Week 6. You might see a lot of Marshawn Lynch ($5,900) in this one.

Amari Cooper ($7,300), Michael Crabtree ($7,500), and Jared Cook ($5,600) have each accounted for between 36 and 39 catches and 451 and 499 receiving yards. Essentially, they're statistically indecipherable. There's almost no chance they all produce against the Patriots. Crabtree offers the most touchdown upside with six on the season, but trying to figure out who has the big game this week could be frustrating.

Copy and paste from every column about Tom Brady ($8,600) and Rob Gronkowski ($8,200): They're both expensive, and they're both elite. At their weekly price points, they will likely never be value plays, but they will usually produce for you. With such a high over/under, they shouldn't let you down this week.
