The Saints Stampede to Buffalo

The Week 10 schedule contains precisely one game in which both teams have a winning percentage that exceeds .500. It's an out of conference contest that has the 6-2 New Orleans Saints traveling north to play the 5-3 Buffalo Bills.

Since starting the season 0-2, the Saints have rattled off six consecutive wins. That has resulted in fewer pass attempts for Drew Brees. Having now played 8 games, Brees has only exceed 40 pass attempts in a game twice. He exceeded that mark 10 times last year, 8 of which resulted in losses.

Powered by a terrific offensive line for the dynamic duo of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara, the Saints rank as the league's fourth-best rushing offense according to numberFire's metrics.

And that New Orleans secondary we've loved picking on the last several years? Well, the Saints also own the fourth-best pass defense with leading Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate Marshon Lattimore and Ken Crawley developing into a fearsome cornerback duo.

Buffalo needs to get LeSean McCoy back on the track after a very disappointing loss to the New York Jets. After averaging 123 yards from scrimmage over the prior four games, McCoy put up a 25-yard dud on Thursday Night Football, failing to catch a pass for the first time all season.

On the ground is where this game is likely to be decided. Despite all the defensive improvements made on the backend, New Orleans brings up the rear in numberFire's defensive metrics against the run. Whereas Buffalo isn't much better, sitting sixth from the bottom in the same category.
