Quarterback

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons

Week 6 Salary: $8,100

Week 7 Salary: $8,700

Matt Ryan saw his price rise $600 in anticipation of what should be the highest scoring game on the slate. The over/under in this one is set at 56 points, which is 7 points above the next-highest total. Ryan has just 6 touchdowns in five games this season, so it is fair to question his upside. However, if ever there was a game for him to pile up some scores, it would be this one.

The New England Patriots have given up at least 300 passing yards in every game this season, and opponents have averaged 2.3 passing touchdowns against them. According to our opponent-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metric, they have been the 5th-worst defense against the pass this season. It is tough to justify paying $8,700 for a dude averaging under 15 FanDuel points per game with Tom Brady just $500 more, but the matchup certainly suggests this is a bounce-back spot for Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Week 6 Salary: $7,700

Week 7 Salary: $8,400

Dak Prescott finally saw his price increase. After three straight weeks of putting up great numbers and floating around the mid-$7,000 range, FanDuel marked him up to $8,400 following the bye week. The question becomes, is Prescott still worth paying for at his elevated salary?

He'll take to the road for this week's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers who rank 26th against the pass, according to our metrics. San Fran has allowed at least 300 passing yards or 3 touchdowns in four consecutive games, highlighted by Kirk Cousins' 28.8 FanDuel points last week. Prescott had averaged 25.8 FanDuel points in the three games heading into the bye, highlighted by a 30.74-point Week 5 performance. He should have no problem in this matchup and is a fine play in all formats.
