Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

The only other tight end outside of Gronk who has more than one game with 20-plus points is Travis Kelce, who is 3rd in scoring at the position and has seen the 2nd-most targets with 44 through six games. It's that steady stream of targets which makes Kelce one of the handful at the position worthy of your week-to-week trust.

The TE1 in scoring in the 2016 season, Kelce hasn't slowed a beat in 2017. For that matter, numberFire's rest of season projections have him racking up the 3rd-most fantasy points for the remainder of the year.

Player Fantasy Points Receptions Rec Yards Red TDs
Rob Gronkowski 101.53 43.03 576.98 7.34
Zach Ertz 85.38 50.34 591.99 4.46
Travis Kelce 82.97 51.16 589.37 3.9
Delanie Walker 73.75 42.9 496.41 3.94
Jordan Reed 72.12 53.44 488.27 3.86

What's even more encouraging about Kelce is that he's managed to score the 3rd-most points among tight ends so far without making much noise in the end zone. He's tied for 7th at the position with just 2 touchdowns through 6 games -- that puts him on pace to score around 5 touchdowns -- exactly the total he's had in each of the last two of the last three years (he had 4 touchdowns in the other season).

Sure, you'd like to see more touchdowns from your tight end, but it's encouraging that Andy Reid keeps him so involved in the offense every week. The fact that he's been able to keep pace with the other elite fantasy scorers at the position makes him an extremely trustworthy option.
