Larry Fitzgerald Will Be a Top-5 Receiver

Why This Is Bold: Twitter dot com announced Carson Palmer's time of football death sometime in the third quarter of Week 1 during his rough, three-pick showing in a loss to the Detroit Lions.

Why This Will Happen: Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2, which means Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert could carry Palmer around Weekend at Bernie's style and he'd still throw for 300 yards. There's a reason our Austan Kas likes Palmer as a top quarterback streamer this week.

Jared Goff had the third-best Passing NEP per drop back (0.49) in Week 1 against the Colts. That's the same Jared Goff who averaged a league-worst -0.28 Passing NEP per drop back in 2016. (The next worst passer was Bryce Petty at -0.16 NEP per drop back.)

Even if Palmer doesn't put up Goff-like efficiency, he'll probably be throwing the ball often with David Johnson absent. Fitzgerald led the Cardinals with 13 targets in Week 1. He could lead the league in targets in Week 2, and that should mean plenty of fantasy points against a short-handed Colts secondary that's expected to be sans Vontae Davis.
