Los Angeles Chargers

numberFire Projection: 8.29 FanDuel points

If you're looking for a cheap defensive play in Week 2, the Los Angeles Chargers are an intriguing option. They'll host the Miami Dolphins Sunday in what is the Dolphins' season opener.

Against the Denver Broncos on Monday night, the Chargers defense posted four sacks and forced two turnovers en route to a top-12 finish in FanDuel scoring. They also notched nine hits on Trevor Siemian, the third-most hits on a quarterback in Week 1.

Back in Los Angeles and against new Miami signal caller Jay Cutler, the Chargers make for a nice option, because the last time we saw Cutler in the regular season, he wasn't good. For the Chicago Bears last year, Cutler started five games, threw more interceptions than touchdowns (5 to 4), and took 17 sacks.

Vegas has the Chargers listed as a 4.5-point favorite and the Dolphins' implied team total of 20.25 is the 10th-lowest in Week 2. Led by Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, the Chargers could be a sneaky good option against Smokin' Jay.
